Hi everyone!
Thanks to close friends of ours, we've added a "playlist" of tunes. I never knew how to do this, but it was very simple to follow the directions online. Thanks Christen!! These songs have touched mom or our family in many ways, hope you enjoy listening to them. They will shuffle automatically, but if you want to see/hear es while you're on the blog it will play songs we've chosen you can do that as well. Scroll down to the VERY BOTTOM of the blog (past all the slideshow and pictures) and you'll see the playlist. Turn music on or off while you're on the blog. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did picking out the songs!!!
(Jackie B.--what's the Janis Joplin song mom would lip-sinc too?? I didn't know so let me know and i'll put it on there) :) Love, the girls

Thank you so much girls for all of the updates, I read them every day and look forward to see how Doreen is doing!! My birthday is tomorrow and my daughter, Kimberley and her girls came up today to spend the weekend with us and go to church with us in the morning. As I know how special your girls and grandaughter are to you Doreen, I feel the same about mine and I love the closeness that we are able to share and I know you do the same with yours. I love the music chosen on here, it's nice to listen to while looking at the pics and reading the blogs. I pray you will have continued progress and hope you realize how special "you" are to have this outpouring of friends and family that love you so much and are so concerned about you. I'm sure you are looking forward to going home and want you to remember you are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

To Betty "D",
ReplyDeleteHello to my best bud! Soooooooo sorry I haven't been in touch lately. But please know that My thoughts and prayers are constantly with you! Chris, my Dad's companion, fell last Saturday and sustained a major head injury! She has been in ICU at St.John's in ICU for the last week. Dad is not is very good health--------His conjestive heart failure is really acting up. Anyway, I have been taking him back and forth the Tulsa to see Chris and trying to keep him out of the hospital! Chris has Dr. Woolzie, the same Doc that you had.
She is not doing well. We just pray for God's will to be done.
But Betty D you are always on my heart in my prayers!!!!!!!!!!
The song that you were doing the lip sync to at you 50th birthday celebration was "Me and Bobby McGee." You were of awesome too! No one could do it better.
Love you bunches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I can’t wait till you get home. It was so great to hear your voice on the phone Friday. I told Carroll I thought the car raised up when you got on the phone. So glad to hear Chuck too! I saw Chris Fenton at dinner last night. He told me you gave him his first spanking in the fifth grade. He said it was your first year to teach. I told him I was sure he needed it. You are still the talk of the town. You are so special! You are in my prayers daily. See you soon! Love Lana H.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found the playlist - we love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove hearing all the encouraging updates - VERY happy to hear they are coming home soon. They'll be closing down the streets of Stigler for her "welcome home" celebration :)
Great job with the blog - so glad you decided to do this for your mom.
